ARG! Cartoon Animation Studio was founded by Artie Romero in 1994. Artie has been involved in comics and animation since the 1970s, and has screen credits for animation on 4 motion pictures, 2 TV series and one PBS special. Before entering the animation industry as an animator, producer and director, Artie was a comic book artist, publisher, and an illustrator of books and magazines.

After starting out in 1995 as just a few pages on Artie's AOL Web space, the artie.com website was launched in July, 1996, and quickly became one of the most popular animation sites on the Web. Since founding ARG! Cartoon Animation, Artie created the CityStar® brand and expanded his company's services into website development, web hosting, Internet access, SEO and online advertising. ARG! is now a division of CityStar® Group, Inc., a Colorado corporation, with Artie serving as CityStar's CEO and President. In January of 2008, CityStar® released a professionally produced, 5 DVD set of 10 one-hour workshops on Internet marketing called 'Net Profit$, featuring Artie and other Internet entrepreneurs explaining how to make a fortune online.
